Extreme Makeover

A building dated 1925 located in the residential area near Kiseleff main road, has been structurally consolidated, the attic raised in order to gain another usable area, and extended with a new volume in the back. Although without architectural value, the original house lends from the bourgeoisie spirit of the area, so we decided to enrich the original volume, by dressing it with classic decorations, whilst the back extension of the house is treated as contrasting element completely. Both parts of buildings are composing one single house unit. Interior doorways were enlarged by local demolition work, this way resulting more versatile spaces. The entire floor space resulted is 330 square meters.
