Coffee Lunch Ideas People

The cafeteria is often the place where most of the people start their day in the office, by getting their coffee and greeting one another.

The area designated to the cafeteria has 150 m² and it accommodates more than 200 people coming in and out, and our mission was not only functional but also to create a space that will catalyse convivial connections. The overall theme is “urban library”, and we chose a stylistic mix from elements from the homey, industrial, Scandinavian and bistro-resto. The open plan is structured around a central social kitchen, as well as a completely separated area in which there is a fully functional kitchen.

The multicoloured chairs are the old ones, recontextualised in the new space, whereas all the other furniture is custom designed, whilst the books wall and the reading lamps made by books are handmade by our colleagues.

We allowed ourselves to go really bold with a strong hue of blue as well as a strong green, different accents of orange and black and white, so we could create a very stimulant and a little bit disruptive atmosphere. A space that is alive, different, pizzazz and artsy. The framed visuals are handpicked from Moderna Museet in Stockholm.
