Urban Jungle

All started with an inspirational team of clients, that asked for some straightfoward attributes of their future space: creative, playful and stimulative. A team of young people that are very focused and motivated, managing to put together a successful business in the online publishing industry. Their need was to have a office that will reflect their values, lifestyle, work dynamic, organisational culture.

The space consists of a ground floor of 260sq, with a free height of 4.7m which we took advantge of, by introducing an intermediary level in such a way that the office area would benefit of a full height, while over the kitchen and bathroom area a multifunctional space was positioned.

One of the mandatory from the brief was to have green zones, which we combined with the personality of the brand of our client (“Lion”), transforming our design approach to a “urban jungle”. There is a consistent overlay of urban elements (visible bricks and ducts, shades of grey) with jungle themed ones (indoor garden, raw finishings in the kitchen area). The generous height of the open space inspired us to treat the walls not only as a storage space, but also as a storytelling one – creating visual interesting shapes and colours associations.

The metallic custom made staircase hides a storage area and it’s designed as a decorative object and an invitation to the upper floor.
